Dhofar Automotive grabs the second place in GCC at Mopar Technical Skill Contest

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) routinely holds tests to assess and improve the expertise of its technicians in showrooms across the world. Recently, a two day challenge was held as a part of the Mopar Technical Skill Contest at the Dubai Autodrome. Shashidhara Acharya from Dhofar Automotive’s Azaiba Service Centre, managed to outshine the competition and won the second position from 16 participants competing within the GCC. Aikie Lacrete, was also one of the chosen technicians taking part in the competition. The challenge featured tough and complicated vehicle assessments and was supervised by Top Technical Specialists from Fiat Chrysler Automobiles.

Upon returning back to Muscat, they were felicitated by Hani Al Zubair, Chairman and Mark Tomlinson, Managing Director of Dhofar Automotive at the Azaiba showroom.

Speaking about the accomplishment Chris Edwards, General Manager of Dhofar Automotive said, “This is a fantastic achievement by our technicians and we congratulate both of them on their achievements, I particularly commend, Shashidhara for the overall results. Both of our experts have shown their ability to handle highly sophisticated technical issues and possess the necessary skill to offer the highest level of technical support.”

In addition, Shyamnath Nendoor, Technical Training Manager of Dhofar Automotive said “The dedication and work ethics of our experts are the reason for this great result. In fact, Shashidhara has received Top Technician Award in Dhofar Technical Contest this year. I am proud of their achievements and look forward to more of our technicians reaching the finals next year.”
