Achievement Recognised At International Gathering of 55 Countries at FUSO Event in Tokyo
FUSO in Oman has received global recognition for its truck sales and parts marketing services at a gathering of company representatives from 55 countries at an international convention and awards ceremony held close to the company’s global headquarters in Tokyo.
Representatives from the company in the Sultanate proudly received a “Fleet Conquest Sales” award for its excellent execution of an activity programme that has been successful in persuading a greater numbers of companies to switch to the FUSO brand in the Sultanate.
The most successful high volume sales of vehicles in this category were for the light and medium duty Canter Trucks that with their flexibility, durability and overall value are becoming more and more popular with commercial operators across the Sultanate. The company was also successful in persuading customers to switch to their medium and heavy duty range of trucks including the FUSO FP, FM, FV and FK that are up to 10-tonne in size and able to tackle major construction and similar jobs.
In addition to the Fleet Conquest Sales award, FUSO Oman was also successful in introducing a number of innovative and successful parts marketing programmes throughout the year. At the same award ceremony FUSO Oman were presented an award for “Best Parts Market Introduction” for their successful efforts in carefully managing the cost of ownership to their clients via special dedicated support programs. This strategy has led to more competitive parts offers for FUSO customers and provided lower servicing and better long-term running costs for their range of vehicles.
Zubair Automotive Vice Chairman, Husam M. AL Zubair along with FUSO Oman General Manager Mark Tomlinson and Zubair Automotive Group General Manager Serdar Toktamis were present to receive the awards presented by FUSO Vice President and member of the Board Mr. Kai-Uwe Seidenfuss.
Commenting on the success with the two awards, FUSO Oman General Manager, Mark Tomlinson, said: “We are very proud to have received these awards which are helping to put Oman increasingly on the map for FUSO internationally. Winning these awards is a great boost to our fantastic team at FUSO both in the sales and after sales departments who are working successfully to increase our market share in the Sultanate and offer our clients a better service and value proposition.
“In the light, medium and heavy duty truck sectors our products are becoming increasingly popular thanks to their versatility, ability to handle both the rugged terrain and challenging climate of Oman and deliver dependable and great value for money for commercial operators from all sectors – from the oil and gas sector through to SME’s seeking a versatile vehicle to undertake their daily business requirements.”
