Mitsubishi Oman To Offer Muscat Festival Visitors a Personal Flavour Of Rallying

Company to Offer Visitors A Free “Rally Photo Opportunity” at Qurum Natural Park As Mitsubishi Displays 2012 Models At Qurum and Naseem Gardens during Muscat Festival Over The Coming Month

Mitsubishi Oman will be offering visitors to its stands at the Muscat Festival a fun opportunity to have their photograph taken at a mock-up board where they can imagine themselves as winning rally drivers winners at Qurum Natural Park throughout the Muscat Festival.

As part of the Zubair Automotive Group, Mitsubishi Oman is a sponsor of the Muscat Festival and will be displaying its range of new 2012 models at prime locations at both Qurum and Naseem parks which is anticipated to attract tens of thousands of visitors between the festival opening date of 26 January and closing date of 23 February.

Mitsubishi has a proud rallying tradition – and Mitsubishi Evo models – and is reflecting that with their vehicle presentation at the two prime locations for visitors to Oman’s biggest annual cultural celebration.

At Qurum the vehicles displayed include the new 2012 models of the Lancer EX, Pajero and Outlander while at Naseem Gardens can look around the Lancer EX, Galant, Pajero and L200.

Visitors at Qurum Natural Park can get a taste of the feeling of victory in a rally by posing as the driver and co-driver in a giant mock-up photo wall where people can place their head as the rally driver and take up the invitation to join the winning Mitsubishi team and its Drive for Life campaign. At peak times Mitsubishi Oman is also planning to take photographers of visitors and print them on site to allow rally fans to walk away with their own personal memento of their visit.

Explaining the participation of Mitsubishi Oman at the Muscat Festival’s two locations, General Manager Mark Tomlinson said: “Mitsubishi has a proud rallying history here in Oman where the Lancer continues to be the vehicle of choice for competitors in Oman as well as the wider region. Visitors attending our display in Qurum to be given an opportunity to join the Mitsubishi winning team and have their own photograph taken in a mock-up of a post Mitsubishi rally winning situation.

“The Muscat Festival is one of the most enjoyable family events in the Sultanate every year and we wanted to reflect the fun nature of the event by offering families a memento of their visit to the Mitsubishi stand during the four week event.”

“With so many visitors coming to the Festival this is an excellent opportunity for us to showcase our range of models that offer the superb off and on-road family comfort of the Pajero and the Outlander, the power and great looks of the Lancer EX, the practical family nature of the Galant or the rugged characteristics of our twin-cab L200,” added Mr. Tomlinson.

Mitsubishi Oman will have a sales team on site in Qurum and Naseem for the month offering customer advice and information about the range of models on display and helping to organise test drives of the new 2012 models where desired.
Mitsubishi Oman is also in the midst of its larger ever nationwide road show that will eventually visit 42 locations in every corner of the Sultanate as the company takes its “Drive for Life” marketing campaign directly to the public offering test drives, consumer advice and great value offers.

The road show will be suspended during the Muscat Festival with the final 10 locations being visited once the festival concludes on 23rd February.
