Peugeot Oman Strikes Gold at 11th Pan Arab Web Awards
European Motors, The official distributor of Peugeot in Oman, was presented with the Golden Award under the Automotive Category at the recently held 11th Pan Arab Web Awards for their website The competition was created to recognize excellence in web design, development and web ownership skills and to showcase creativity in a competition for the best website in the Arab Region.
The Pan Arab Web Awards and Social Media Awards Grand Finale Ceremony 2014 took place at the Al Bustan Rotana Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, 29th April 2014 in the presence of Mr. Pierre Moukarzel, President of Tatweej Academy and numerous Arab Ambassadors, Award Winners, and VIPs in the ICT field, Governmental personalities as well as economists, academics, diplomats, bankers, media and other reputable guests. The award was received by Gurdeep Singh Multani, Brand Manager for Peugeot in Oman, on behalf of European Motors.
Commenting on the achievement, Gurdeep Singh Multani said, “We are very proud of this recognition for our newly launched website. It delivers smooth navigation and instant access to information on our models, at the same time adhering to our corporate brand guidelines. It also shows that our team continues to innovate and stay ahead of the curve with leading technology and creative designs. The 11th PAN Arab Web Awards Academy had a distinguished panel of judges who took into account a number of key factors of all websites entered into the competition before reaching their decision and shortlisting some 325 entries. These were then evaluated based on selected criteria. The Peugeot website scored consistently high marks across all parameters to emerge as the overall winner of the Golden Award under the Automotive Category in the region.
Launched in January of this year, the new website is a reflection of the style and beauty that Peugeot is known for. It provides visitors with an uncluttered homepage with a dedicated link for the Peugeot brand in addition to other useful tools for visitors to take advantage of. Special promotions, vehicle service plans, latest news, booking a test drive and customer service are just some of the links available on the website for customers. 
In addition to the above, the website was also commended for its design and visual layout which allows easier usability with a more intuitive interface and embedded links to all key information directly from the home page. Other highlights that let to its recognition by the judging committee included its functionality, consistency, design harmony and overall balance and contrast.
