Poster competition winner drives away a 2012 Peugeot 508

European Motors has announced that Peugeot was one the key sponsors of the recently concluded fifth edition of Francophonie Week along with Department of Tourism and Park Inn by Radisson in Muscat. Every year the Omani French Centre joins the worldwide celebrations of French language and culture. In 2012, it was held from the 18th to the 21st of March at Sultan Qaboos University.

Besides displaying the latest Peugeot 508 Access model at the venue, the programme included the launch of the 2012 International Clermont-Ferrand Short Film Festival and a themed poster competition. The winners of the themed poster competition were felicitated by European Motors in the form of an overnight test drive of the 508. This year’s poster winners were Hammed Al Rushadi, Fathi Al Batashi and Salim Al Shaaili.

“I am delighted to win the poster competition and also have the opportunity to test drive the Peugeot 508 saloon car for 24 hours,” said Hammed Al Rushadi. The International Organisation of la Francophonie was created in 1970 by three African statesmen and now enjoys the membership of 70 states. Its mission is to embody active solidarity between its member states, respecting cultural and linguistic diversity, and promoting the French language, peace and sustainable development.
