Europcar Open Golf Challenge: A feather in Mitsubishi Oman’s cap

Mitsubishi Oman, a joint sponsor of the recently held Europcar Open Golf Challenge, is upbeat, following rave reviews of the event that saw top golfers in the country converging at Al Mouj Golf, recently. The seventh edition of the popular Golf Challenge was witnessed by hordes of golfing enthusiasts, as over 130 avid golfers vied for the coveted titles.

The challenging contest saw Tenzin Tsarong pick the Gross Winner title in Division A, while Brett Merrell won the Division A – Stableford; Lynn Casey picked the winner’s trophy in women’s category. Ras Al Hamra Golf Club won The Europcar Open 2019 Interclub Championship.

Congratulating winners of Oman’s top golfing event, Manoj Ranade, General Manager of GAC (General Automotive Company) - the official distributor of Mitsubishi vehicles in Oman – said, “Oman is emerging as a top golfing destination and the first-class skills demonstrated by the winners on the turf was a proof of the growing pool of talent in the country. It was an honour for Mitsubishi to be a part of such a prestigious event. The Europcar Open Golf Challenge, organised by Europcar Oman in partnership with Mistal Watches, was jointly powered by Mitsubishi Motors and Al Ahlia Insurance. It was also sponsored by Travelex, Travel Point, Amex, Kempinski, Al Seeb Technical Est. (SARCO), WHSmith and African & Eastern, and supported by Sea Oman, Mumtaz Mahal and Woodlands restaurant.

The prize distribution ceremony, held on the day of the event, was presided over by Marcus Bernhardt, Managing Director Europcar International and Member of Executive Board and Rishi Khimji, Managing Director, Asha Enterprises LLC.
